I usually don't jump and down over news events....
But...
After the disappointment of not seeing Bryan Singer be able to unleash his Superman Returns sequel, nor his version of X-men 3---
And after the suprising delight of X-men First Class with Singer producing and Vaughn directing...and LOVING most of that film-
Finally, some good news-

Haven't seen this yet, but I've been hearing great things about it. It certainly didn't recieve the fanfare of the previous X-movies. Can't wait to see it myself.

X-men: First Class was a big surprise, after the disappointing (to say the least) Xmen 3 & Wolverine...
reminded me of how good a comic book film can be when done 'right'--- and I'm not convinced that comic book films with high budgets will stick around much longer, (even with Marvel Studios' string of box office successes)... So, yeah, I'm extremely jazzed to hear a great creative team on a comic property as I really do think the comic book movie is going to be an endangered species in a few years.... X-men: First Class isn't quite on the level of "The Dark Knight", but it's pretty darn good imo... :)
